Hello everyone:

I have a 74 GB partition on my hardrive running windows 7. I uninstalled a game named League of Legends which usually takes around 7GB. While doing it something went wrong and the PC rebooted.

The 7 GB are not there. I tried installing and unistalling but they still doesn't show up.

Morever: Checking the all the hidden folders on my hardrive, I am using 50GB of space. However my PC shows on the other hand that I only have 10 GB free. I lack, therefore, 14 GB.

I know there are some discrepancies on space used and free space due to some windows safety stuff. I checked the "create and format partitions" windows app and it shows it has 3GB of this safety thing. Still I miss 11 GB...

Thank you very much everyone for your help in advance

When I am missing space, I use the utility WinDirStat. It provides a nice graphic display of where space is used, and has drill-down capabilities.

Simple stuff: Have you emptied the wastebasket? If this is a system partition, is there a pagefile or a hibernate file? Did the storage fall under your desk when you were uninistalling, and now it's down there gathering dust?
