I'm trying to install Windows 7 Professional using my USB right now but whenever I start the installation I get an error saying CD/DVD Driver missing or something along those lines. People have said to use USB 2.0 but I'm not sure I have that. People said to install some USB drivers or something but I'm not sure how to do that either. I need help resolving this issue. If anyone needs my specs I can post that as well. Thanks.

I downloaded all 3 of those under USB and whenever I try installing them during the Windows 7 installation, my keyboard and mouse stop working to the point where I can't continue with the installation.

I found out that your problem is not unique. Try this work around. Some people said this works. Do you have an optical drive installed? If so , go about the windows install from your USB. If you have an optical, have it pre mounted at the same time you are installing windows. It is said that the appropriate USB drivers will install automatically from the mother board utilities disc. We are running out of work arounds here.

Hey Sell, you got the wrong files from the support section. The file I wanted you to get is listed under........ utilities........not bios. It has the title Asus ez installer. Not under bios once again but under utilities. Yeah, still try that one and the optical drive work around I just posted. If you have an optical drive installed.

I installed Asus EZ installer but it's asking me to insert the Windows 7 disc when I only have Windows 7 installed on my USB, I don't have a Windows 7 disc and I also don't have a optical drive.

Sell, you can not direct the disc request to point to the USB? There is no option for that? In your bios is USB selected as your first boot device? Sorry that you do not have an optical drive....that eliminated the second option I proposed.

Not getting a optical drive because then I'll need the disc. I know there's a way to do this by manually installing drivers in such way, I need some type of "motherboard expert" who can help me install the correct drivers that are compatible with my motherboard and CPU, I really appreciate you trying to troubleshoot this issue for me, thanks.

CPU: i5-7600k
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS Z270E GAMING MOTHERBOARD

CD/DVD is not a option for me as of now, what I need is someone to help me install the correct USB 3.0 drivers.

No, because when I plug in my USB during the Windows 7 installation it doesn't pop up due to it being a USB 3.0 port.
I just followed this guide thinking it was going to fix my issue but I still got the error pop up and my USB wouldn't show when I tried to browse for drivers.

Is that a licensed copy of windows 7 on that USB you are using or simply an ISO? This is going to drive you insane. Burn the files on that USB to a disc on another computer and purchase an optical drive. You are beating your head against the wall right now when the other avenue will liberate you from these frustrations.

It's simply a ISO and I plan on purchasing a product key and activating it once I get it installed.

This time I got a little further by placing the USB Driver onto my SSD but when I installed the driver during the Windows 7 installation, after it was complete my mouse and keyboard stopped working as if the port they were plugged into just stopped working.

I have a NZXT S340 case, I'm not getting a optical drive. I need to get this fixed through USB and I know it's possible.

I did it!!, I'm actually able to move on with the installation and choose which drive I want to install Windows 7 on. All I did was use Intel USB 3.0 Creator utility and also manually install the USB 3.0 driver during the Windows 7 installation which fixed my mouse and keyboard from not functioning. Can't believe you doubted be and almost made me waste 20 dollars haha..
