I have a client that has a windows 7 laptop. when he has the laptop docked he keeps it closed to use his external monitor. When he undocks it the screen moves to the laptop as it should. When he re-docks his computer the external monitor does not show up. He has to go to the display properties and change the setting from Only display on this monitor to extend display every time. How can this be set to automatically connect and not revert every time. I have checked for updates and there are none. Seems to be something with the OS.

Solution
Think there's a quick shortcut for this.
Holding down the windows key and clicking p will cycle through all the different display modes. (etc. duplicate, computer only, 2nd screen only, extend)
It would make it a whole lot quicker than going through the resolution window every time.

Hope this helped! 😉
