Windows 7 FujiFinepix Viewer Deleted Video File When Renaming

I use Fuiji Finepix Viewer to rename photo files en-masse , however today when renaming the files in a directory, the only video file simply disappeared. I looked in the recycle bin and tried looking at previous versions of the affected folder to no avail. The photo files renamed correctly only the video was affected. I would really like to get it back. Any help would be appreciated.

Try running a search if you can remember the name including the filename extension (try both old & new name).
Windows 7 built-in search is pretty lame though so try Agent Ransack. I use it often, beats Windows search tool by a country mile (and it's fast): https://www.mythicsoft.com/agentransack

Looks like finepix will indeed erase a file in a format that it does not recognize when renaming files in 'automatic rename' I used a free recovery program and found the file in the same directory... Dodged that bullet on that one. Thanks for the reply.
