Hi all,
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I've just built my new PC with Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 motherboard and AMD FX 8350 CPU.
I'm having a little trouble installing Windows 7 at the minute.
The setup asks for a driver and no matter which I choose, I get the following:
I've tried using the AHCI / RAID driver from the motherboard disc and also downloaded the drivers from the ASUS website. No luck.
I have 3 drives currently.
- 128GB SSD - Linux. Currently unplugged to prevent Windows overwriting GRUB.
- 1TB HDD. 300GB Windows partition / 700GB XFS Linux partition.
- 2TB HDD NTFS storage
All drives are plugged into the white SATA ports on the motherboard.
From within Linux, I can see all my drives without issues.
I'm using Windows 7 Pro SP1 on USB stick
And I have a genuine Microsoft Windows 7 Pro disc,
Any help appreciated,
It's been suggested I format the 1TB drive and unplug the 2TB drive. I've never need to do this before on any install?
