windows 7 install problem

iam trying to install win 7 while windows finalizing your settings

a black window like cmd appeared then i minimized it then installation hanged

Is the CD scratched?

that part of the install has nothing to do with the CD.

Are you trying to install on an old HDD, by chance?

the dvd is original ?
the black window can be expanded and contain some messages ?
there are messages in the screen ( not in the black window ) ?
