I am trying to re install windows 7 because I'm having some problems and would like to start fresh. My wireless mouse and keyboard are working fine in windows and in the BIOS. When I boot my computer using the windows 7 disc I get as far as the language part for installing windows 7 and the mouse and keyboard stop working. Its driving me nuts! I can't figure out how to fix this problem!

Resetting BIOS to Default Settings works for some...

This should not happen, at this stage of the installation procedure it should not matter whether you have a USB or PS2 mouse or keyboard. I suspect that the install program has crashed giving the appearance that the keyboard and mouse have frozen. You said that you were having other problems with the computer that caused you to reinstall Windows. I think that you are having memory problems, try downloading and running memtest86 for at least three passes, try running with only one stick of memory etc.
