Once it boots into the desktop have a carefull look at all your running programs - particularly those in the background (e.g. check out the taskbar).
You might then want to disable some from autostarting.
get either Norton utilities or tune - up utilities 2013 and disable start up programs this will make it quicker on start-up. or treat yourself and buy a solid state drive (SSD) and have windows on it and watch it boot up in 8 secs! good luck
While I'd agree with the ssd the 8 seconds is a stretch. It highly depends on the motherboards bios and how long the Windows install has been installed. 15 is more like the lowest most will see.
