I m using Acer aspire E1 series with 500GB hard disk and 6GB RAM. My laptop suddenly started working slow as if 7-10 mins to boot the screen and then hang to open Chrome browser or play youtube. I put system on hibernation and next day,it started to show ctrl + alt+ del for read disk error. SO i decided to format the system. Now, i have re-installed windows 7 for 3 times and always screen is hanging at Completing Installation. i really dont know what to do. I have deleted all the partition and all. Still the issue Persists Please help me here.

An SSD presents itself to the system as just another SATA drive.
My 2009 low end Toshiba laptop also says nothing about SSD's. But I could slap one in there tonight with zero issues.
🙁 . Need your opinion on this. My Laptop does not support SSD and its old processor intel B90 Dual core, Almost 5 years old. Total RAM is 6GB. Will it be a better option to just get 500GB used hard Drive or should go for a new one?

Why do you think it will not support an SSD?
As long as it is a SATA interface (at 5 years old it is), an SSD will work.
