Windows 7 No longer genuine (originally was)

I purchased a Packard bell imedia in the year 2009. it came with windows 7 pre installed. At this moment no hardware is original to the pc at this time. however after formatting my hard drive with the restoration disks that came with the Imedia around 2 years ago my windows 7 is not genuine.

it has the 30 day grace period until i have to fix it by typing "slmgr -rearm" into the CMD to get another 30 days. however after 3-4 months it sais i cannot do this anymore and then i format my OS hard drive again. After looking it up i believe its something to do with the hardware being different but im hopeful there is a fix as i am wanting to upgrade to windows 10 soon.

Pre-installed White Box OEM Windows is locked to the motherboard the machine came with. You can move it to an 'equivalent' replacement motherboard by calling MS, but I don't think you meet that bar.

You need a new copy of Windows.

same happened to me after changing a crashed HD with and SSD ..
and recovering luckily everything... Data AND OS 🙂)

But W7 is not genuine anymore.... and no OEM disk.

!Recover! was in an original disk hidden partition...
that got the hard of the crash and so partially recoverable
( but not working)
