Windows 7 not booting/No windows boot loader, only deleted GRUB

Hello to everyone in the forum!

So I installed Ubuntu 14.04 alongside Windows 8.1 in my Acer Aspire 5560G, and after a while decided to upgrade it to 14.10. After upgrading, Ubuntu would freeze either after logging in or just after the GRUB boot loader.
That's when I did something really stupid: I deleted the Ubuntu partition from Win8.1 and upon rebooting only got the GRUB rescue terminal.

I tried restoring the system to factory defaults (win7) with Acer D2D eRecovery Manager, but I still end up with the GRUB rescue terminal.

I have 1 Win7 recovery disk, 1 Win8 recovery disk and none of them boot even if I set it to boot from CD (it skips straight back to GRUB rescue terminal).
I also have Ubuntu on a CD and on a flash drive, but when trying to install Ubuntu or to boot it from the CD/flash drive, it freezes soon after I select any option...

This is so frustrating because nothing seems to be working for me and I have no idea why, so any help is much appreciated 🙁
Thanks in advance!

No, I can get to the boot selection menu, but with the Windows disks nothing happens when I boot them first, and with the Ubuntu DVD and flash drive it freezes soon after I select "Try Ubuntu before installing" or "Install Ubuntu", etc...
