Hey guys new here. I need help, im so sad.

I have a amd radeon hd 6000 series graphics card... And it recently stopped working, and now it wont detect it anymore, windows 7 or windows 8 neither one. I am on windows 7 32bit now without any drivers. Is there anybody there that can help me?

Thanks in advance!

Solution
From what you described, it looks like a hw issue (e.g. suddenly appeared).
Most probably it's the GPU or possibly the MB, less probable to be the RAM.

Before you start investigating, i would suggest remove all the components that are not mandatory for the PC boot.
Remove all usb devices from the ports, leave only keyboard+mouse.
Remove unnecessary HDD/ SSD. Remove any extension cards not required (if any, like tv capture, pcie sound, controllers, etc)

I would try to play first with the RAM because it's easy to rule out: either run some memtest (bootable CD/USB to boot into memtest) or remove some RAM sticks and try them one by one.

Once RAM ruled out, I would borrow a GPU from somebody for a test.

If still an issue, then it's...
not sure that i can help but maybe we can understand better the problem:

So your GPU still working somehow at low resolution, but Win7 not recognizing it properly?
Since you are saying the same happens on Win 8 I assume that you put the card into a win 8 system, or you reinstalled your OS with Win 8?
Is it in SLI mode or single GPU?

Did you do anything to the card, like overclock or upgrade firmware?
Was the GPU overheating a lot?
Did you do recent driver upgrade?

And most importantly - you are mentioning about hd 6000 series - what exactly was the model?

good luck

It is working yes, but it wont get recognized so icant get any drivers, when i do install drivers and it asks me to restart , after the restart it gives me a blue screen, and it says Memory dump, and auto restarts, and it keeps doing that over and over.

This started on windows 8 , two days ago. My PC suddenly crashed, and went to my windows 8 theme colour with blackstripes on it and made this weird crash noise. and it kept doing that. so i reinstalled win 8 and it did it again. So now im on windows 7 32 bit, it now works i guess.. but i cant do shit. if i install drivers and restart it BSOD's me.

Basically the problem is that it doesnt detect my Graphics card. i even checked on Device Manager and a program called CPU-Z

Single GPU.
If you really need the exact model i need to search, does it tell me on the GPU it self?

If still an issue, then it's the Mobo (which is a pain in the butt, since it will require rebuild of the pc). BTW, i'm assuming that PSU is strong and not an issue, but you might want to try swapping this one as well at a certain point.

the 6000 series model - usually it tells the model on GPU. It was more of a validation that you are aware of what drivers to install and what to expect. Not really relevant for the issue at hand.
