Solution
The chipset drivers allows a computer to communicate to a piece of hardware.

An INF is a file that gives the operating system information about a piece of hardware (ACPI, memory controller, audio, PCI, USB, etc) on the system. This information allows the Device Manager to display the correct piece of hardware.

Windows have issues even with the right .inf files and drivers, so common sense will dictate that you might not have a smoothly running system. It will be unpredictable at best.

You could extract and manually install the Windows 10 drivers.

First, you might have to install Windows 7 using a DVD since it won't install from a USB drive, unless you add the necessary drivers to installation media.
Not a good idea to use drivers from another chipset...that is asking for troubles.
You could use generic drivers but Windows 7 performance will be held back.

May I ask why can you use Windows 10?

well, i've tried using win 10 for a few days but i don't like the interface and the force updates.

Trying to slipstream install drivers for Win7 install on a Coffee Lake CPU is a big pain in the #%#*. In regards to updates, even Win7 has patch Tuesday. Do you actual review the documentation of every patch and then decide which ones to install? Probably not - you just install them. I've been using Win 10 on 3 home PC's 1.5 years. No issues with the updates. If you don't like the Win10 user interface, there's lots of web articles with instruction on how to make Win10 look like Win7.

There are hundreds of tools to change its interface and make look like Windows 7 or any other OS.
If you don't what force updates, either get Windows 10 Pro or stop the Windows Update Service or setup a Metered Connection.

i still have dvd drive my pc so i'm not worried about slipstream method. i was able to download the realtek audio and realtek pcie lan drivers for win 7 from msi b360s website before they remove it last week. what is missing is the intel chipset inf. will it operate/run smoothly if i don't have the intel chipset inf for win 7 installed?

thanks for your help! i guess i have no choice but to go back to win 10 and wait for ryzen 2 to come out before upgrading.

You could try Windows 7 and see what happens and if it doesn't work the way you want, then you can install Windows 10
