Windows 7 on Old laptop ?

Hello.

So i've got an old laptop but i'm not sure if i should use Windows 7 since it might be kinda heavy for the laptop, i want to use it for small games so if i could get the best out of it's gaming performance it would be nice.

Intel Pentium T2390 1.86Ghz Dualcore
2GB Ram DDR2
Intel GMA X3100 358mb
320GB HDD
15,4'' Screen

Is windows 7 ultimate too heavy ? Or should i use Vista or XP?

Use 10. It's lighter that 7. It's teh best way to go.

Do not use Vista or XP. They are both more resource intensive than W7 or W10. Personally, I would stick with windows 7 for the mean time. It's light on resources, and because your hardware is older, you may not be able to find W10 drivers for all the hardware.

W10 works just fine with 7 drivers. Same kernel, after all.

I'm speaking from personal experience. And I've actually installed Vista drivers on W10(again, same kernel) for a laptop graphics solution from what was then ATI. Worked.

It's rolling the dice, sometimes it may work, and sometimes it wont. The kernel isn't exactly the same, as MS has changed some aspects of it, especially between vista, and W10.

True, but really worth a try, IMO.
