hi guys i was wondering if i can create a new partition on my hard drive and store all the files and games that i need and then format the root drive (windows 7) will it affect my performance ?i just wanted to transfer 2 games they are big (skyrim and league of legends) i dont want to download them again so thats what i want in the short way : to make a small partition on my hard drive (DISK:G) and to format the drive with windows 7 on it (C:) (i will install windows 7 again same version and stuff) so will it affect my performance because 2much viruses on C: drive?
and one last question what is better for gaming windows 7 home premium or h0me basic?
thanks in advance and sorry for bad english ;x

You can make a partition, but as you state C: drive for OS and Disk G: you probably have a partition, How many harddisk you have and the storage capacity ? You can use free software than can partition your harddisk.

software like MiniTool Partition or EaseUS Partition both offer a free version. Try them.

And about gaming OS, you may want to use Windows 7 Ultimate (x64)

can you make this with windows 7 partition isntaller in windows 7 installer or in disk management + windows ultimate has 2much unecessery apps i prefer smthing simple :) or win vista maybe? iahve a regular 150 gb hard isk but when i isntall all i need + smthing other i have min 100gb free

i prefer using a 3rd party software to partition your drive, when you partition your drive using the installation disk you may loose your data before you may back it up and stick to windows 7 premium if you dont have any other os.
You can always uninstalled all unwanted bloatware from windows trough Programs and Files.

i dont care about my data (only the games) so how will it affect my performance?

what you mean?it only takes space? or can i make a little 10gb partition to re-install windows 7 take my games from the 10gb partition and then delete it??what can i do to get my games without performance reduction???thanks

upgrade your PC, much more ram, and 10gb is not enough for your windows 7 os, you need a breathing space, maybe minimum of 80gb, but if you really wanted to gain performance, buy an SSD

No, m8 you didnt understand me i mean to make a normal partition for windows 7 and make another one 10 gb to store my games :) and again will it affect performance?
