Windows 7 Plug & Play O/S Bios Yes Or No?

I know this sounds like a stupid question but, since I'm running Windows 7, should I have my bios set to: Plug and Play O/S yes, or no?

yes it's a carry over from long ago, http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Plug-and-Play-HOWTO-3.html, but in Windows from Xp, 2000 up, big NO, kind of confusing, but try it once and you'll understand

I apologize for not asking this in my original post, why should it be kept to NO?

Is it because that "feature" was relegated to Windows 98, 95?
