[citation][nom]jsloan[/nom]what about Windows 7 RC to Shutdown on March 1 '10[/citation]
Well that's not entirely accurate, because it implies that the OS will be shutdown permanently.

[citation][nom]strandwolf[/nom]I can't believe that you blew the misspelling of 'grammar'. Joking, right?[/citation]Muphry's Law strikes!

LOL I'd like to know who this Muphry person is, but I believe you're thinking of Murphy. As for the headline it reads "Windows 7 RC to Have Shutdowns on March 1 '10" which is correct.

No, I'm definitely talking about Muphry. :)

what kind of bugs me is that it doesn't sound like there will be an option to upgrade to the full release. i hate installing from scratch, reinstalling programs, restoring all my data, trying to remember exactly how i had things set up, etc.

that aside i'm using the beta now and it runs like a champ on my $200 eee 900a, no messing with drivers everything worked out of the box. i'm a linux guy mostly but i'm pretty impressed with 7's netbook support.

not so on my 5 or 6 year old thinkpad. come on MS, you couldnt include a working diver for my intel wireless card? really? the ubuntu 9.04 alphas and betas had no issues whatsoever with it.

well it is the release canidate, used for testing purposes for microsoft not the end user. you are getting 10 months free so you really cant complain
