Windows 7 supports UEFI secure boot?

Hi,

I run a windows 7 64bit OS together with an R9 280x VaporX video card which supports UEFI mode for faster boot(video card has a small button to enable it).

My question is, would I be able to utilize it with my windows 7? I've read forums that it is only for windows 8, but I would just like to clarify and seek an explanation.

I'm a noob.

You can do a UEFI install with Windows 7, see THIS TUTORIAL, assuming that your motherboard is compliant.
