Solution
1) Click on start button,
2) In searchbar enter 'Services'
3) Stop Windows Update service(wuauserv),
4) Then delete C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder.

Solution
If one of the update files is for service pack 1 or service pack 2 for windows 7 it can take up to 2 hours to download and install.

How long it takes will also depend on how fast your internet connection speeds are.
Don`t forget Microsoft stopped support for updates and security patches for windows 7 some months ago.

I have experienced the same issue with Windows 7 updates. It's quite normal. You should try updating it using Bitdefender's Update utility. It comes with the anti-virus("http://www.bitdefender.com/")

Yep it started to download, thank you.
