Windows 7 very annoying!!!

Just installed windows 7 and got all my programs on. But when ever I try to access my programs like steam and some mods I have to verify EVERYTHING. And I get lots of error messages because if I try to run anything that's installed in the programs folder and don't "run as admin" it gets a error message. How do I stop this?!?

is it the UAC? Go to control panel. search UAC and turn it off.

If not make sure the account you are using is admin

I rarely get UAC prompts in Windows 7. I get alot in Windows Vista though.
Can you post a picture?

I am admin. And I think it is UAC. It keeps saying "this program would like to make changes on your computer. Allow or not allow.

In order to avoid Windows 7's program files protection errors, you can install games to a path like "c:\games" or anything you like except "c:\program files (x86)\" or "c:\program files\" (assuming your main boot drive letter is "C"). In order to modify anything in the program files folders, you must manually change the security settings associated with a specific folder like "c:\program files\steam" by left-clicking the folder and visiting "properties" - then the "security" tab. Because a virus or dumb user might mess with program files and mess them up, MS decided it was best for everybody to tighten control over the folder.

That would be UAC --- Figure since you just installed the OS you will be getting a bunch of those prompts since every program is being run for the first time and is setting itself up to your preferred settings thus making many changes --- Just click allow let them make the changes - once you have used all of the programs and let them get setup you'll receive fewer of the prompts since the programs do not need tomake changes so will not see the prompt as often but better to see the prompt and know that something is making changes than to turn off UAC and let some virus corrupt your system and know nothing about it.

Yes that's why I don't want to turn it off .
But the thing is it does this EVERYTIME even on programs I have opened before :/
How do I take a screenshot and upload it?

Did you press ALLOW the first time it came up ?? (If you did not then it will not allow the program to write the changes to your HDD thus the next time it is launched it will try again to get permission to save the settings etc.)

It's on all the programs I download not internet explorer.
Also if I try to change anything in the program files, like if I try to rename everything it says "allow this change to be made"

Why don't you just turn UAC off like i mentioned before? Ive had it off for years and im still fine. Just be careful and have a a security suite.
