Windows 8.1 install. Accidentally hit upgrade.

Well, on a new build I was trying to get a fresh install of windows 8.1. Then all of a sudden some stupid thought came into my mind not to read the fact that it says. You can only choose 'upgrade' if you already have windows installed. Me in my retarded wits thought it was smart to hit upgrade instead of Custom. Now I am pretty much barred out of installation, seeings as I have already entered my licence key.

Is there anyway I could get my licence key back and re-do my install? Or do I have to buy it again?

If so, you can start from scratch, no problem.

It says that the key is used or invalid. Something along those lines.

Hmm, that makes no sense at all.
You should be able to format and re-install that system as many times as you need using the same key, provided the hardware stays the same.

How could I reinstall it all and reformat it?

You either boot from the DVD you have or from a USB key.
I am assuming that you have packaging including a DVD along with the license key.

Nah bro, all I have is the usb and the cd key. Threw the box away *facepalm*.
When I try to boot again, it just says that it is invalid. Sigh.
