I bought Windows 8.1 PRO and do not know how to upgrade from Windows 8.1 N with product key?

Keep getting message: 'this key can't be used to activate this version of windows, try another key' or something like it.

I got the license key from SoftwareGeeks.co.uk

I am not sure about the current N, how do I check this?
