windows 8.1 redirect documents

I redirected my documents to a folder on a removable drive. Now they appear in BOTH places. (Nice for an extra backup--but that's no what I want.)

The actual documents appear in both places? 2 actual copies?

Or are you just seeing the Libraries/Documents/MyDoc.doc, and also F:\YourNewDocFolder\MyDoc.doc?

In the second instance, that is what it is supposed to do.
