Windows 8.1 weird colors and extremely slow pc

Hi,
I have a problem in my pc. When I boot at the windows 8 loading screen weird colours are showing then blank for 2 to 3 minutes and then normal windows boots and my computer is very slow and it automatically shutdowns if I Use video editing softwares. cpu usage gets to 100% when i use the video editing software and then just shutsdown.

AMD Athlon II Dual Core Processer
ASUS MotherBoard
Realtek WLaN Card
Windows 8.1 , Windows XP and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS In Dual Boot
3.00 GB Ram
Avast ANTIViRuS i installed avast after my pc got slow before there was no antivirus

And My windows doesnt show time properly i had put the regestry edit but it doesnt work PLeaSe HeAlp Me Me Please(if it is not possible to repair how can i get windows disk for reinstallation)

I smell viruses. Load up on a USB a few programs such as TDSSKiller, SuperAntiSpyware, MalwareBytes, Autoruns. Boot the PC in safe-mode w/ networking and than run these programs. *Obviously use a different PC if available*

IF NOT: Try to go to safe mode usually pressing F8 to boot to safe mode and than uninstalling Avast via Programs & Features and than restarting and seeing if that works.

If all else fails there are other options, but it would require another PC to assist you. If not, I'd say go to a local shop and ask for a virus cleaning (usually ranges $60-$120)
