windows 8 installation on ssd

i have widows 8 installed with an invalid key atm on my hhd but wish to upgrade to an ssd if i do will windows let me install it on the ssd without a valid activation key

No. Windows will want a valid license key during the install.

No there is not.

Since you currently have "an invalid key"....you really, really need to buy a legal license and install that.
