Windows 8 License options

Hi! I'm fairly new to this site but I know how much the community here helps. So i just finished building my computer and booted it up with windows 8. But of course I need a license key (which I don't have). Is it possible to take the windows 8 license key from my laptop? My friend also has the windows 10 install disc along with the key but I believe they only allow the license for one machine at a time. So my question is, could I take the windows 8 license key off of my laptop and use it on my built PC? If not, are there other ways to get a key? Thank you.

No. Your new PC needs its own license.

Amazon, Newegg, Microsoft. It will, of course, cost money.
