Windows 8 login screen constantly freezing

when i open my laptop the screen freezes and i cant click or type but sometimes i can see the cursor, what i usually do is force shut down my computer by holding the power button and then turn it back on and it works but im afraid this will ruin my computer so can anyone help me?

Restarting your computer is not going to ruin it. Windows 8 is just a buggy operating system, that's why no one likes it.
