Windows 8 or Windows 7?

Hello. My HDD bit the dust recently, so I opted for a round of upgrades instead of just the hard drive. Me being me, I did not have my HDD backed up or anything like that. The new parts for my computer:
-intel i5 3.2ghz
-ASRock h77 pro4/mvp LGA 1155 Intel H77 SATA 6gb/s ATX intel mobo
-1tb mechanical drive
-G.SKILL Sniper 2x4gb ddr3

I have an ASUS GTX650 GPU
My next upgrade will be an SSD for my OS.

Since I have to buy a new OS, I am debating whether to get Windows 7 or Windows 8.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks

I like Win 7 better (because i'm used to it). I have win 8 pro on my mbp, it feel like I'm using a tablet (makes me wanna touch the screen). When it comes to performance, they're both about the same. Win8 run faster than win 7, but win 7 has better gaming performance.

You gotten install win 7 before you install win 8. Student can get these for free, if you technical courses in college or in hs.
