Windows 8 Recovery Disk on another laptop of the same brand.

Would using recovery disks created on a Toshiba Satellite C855 work on a Toshiba Satellite C875? Currently I'm trying this to get my C875 to boot, however when I set the BIOS to load my ODD first, I get a media check fail error, saying that there is no bootable device. Is this because the C855 recovery disks won't work on the C875, or is it because there's more damage to the C875 than simply a hard drive failure?

It looks like your laptop cannot boot from the recovery media. Whether it is the media, the drive, or the laptop itself, you have to dig it out.

Does this recovery media boot on the original laptop?
