Hi,
I recently built a PC which lacks an optical drive and a previous version of Windows. I want to install Windows 8 on my new computer but System Builder only comes in a DVD. Is there a way I can get the Windows 8 System Builder ISO onto a USB drive?

Just remember that because of the pre-Windows 8 technologies used with the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool, USB installation media created through it is not compatible with USB 3.0 chipsets and ports. You should have no issues through a standard USB 2.0 port.

To utilize the native USB 3.0 support from the Windows 8 installation media, you can either manually create the bootable media as described by Dan Stolts in his TechNet Blog here, or use Microsoft deployment technologies like the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit to create the media. For keys that are compatible, you can also use the Upgrade to Windows 8 with only a product key page to either install directly, or create optical or USB media.
