[citation][nom]killerclick[/nom]Yeah, but netbooks have been available since what? 2008? Also, 100 million iPads vs 120 million all-netbooks-combined-from-all-OEMs? Also the iPad is less functional and more expensive and it still sold almost as many (~80%) in half the time? It sold more than the Xbox did in 7 years, not to mention every Windows tablet combined since 2002.If you can't admit the iPad is a stunning success the likes of Microsoft, Asus, Acer, HP and Dell can only dream about, then that's your fanboyism getting in the way of actual, real world data. Reality distortion field is not an Apple thing, it's a fanboy thing.[/citation]
I never represented a single manufacturer, I just said Netbooks, which are manufacturer and OS independant, it's just a form factor - then you blather on about Apple - and you call me a fanboy
...
Here's a word for you from the dictionary

hy·poc·ri·sy
[hi-pok-ruh-see] Show IPA
noun, plural hy·poc·ri·sies.
a pretense of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess.

The louder the mouth, the bigger the hypocrite, and you my friend have the biggest mouth on the whole site

You compared iPad sales with netbook sales, without realizing that such comparison is overwhelmingly in favor of the iPad's incredible success that no Windows tablet will ever see.

Netbooks might still be selling, but Windows 8 tablets (which are just overpriced touchscreen netbooks) are not, so... 100 million vs... what, 2 million? I don't even care, the market has spoken and you obviously have nothing to contribute other than irrelevant definitions from a dictionary.

[citation][nom]DjEaZy[/nom]... intel atom is a waste of silicon and windows 8 is a waste of hard drive space...[/citation]
So you must feel the same way about ARM ? Atom is at least as good for anything ARM is good for. I wouldn't get Atom with a PC or a laptop but would for a smartphone or an x86 tablet

Also can't just paint all Atoms with the same brush, by themselves there is a vast difference in speed from top to bottom of range, some Atoms would be good for a basic HTPC or an office based PC that does nothing but email and MS Office
