Windows 8 update

i bought an hp desktop which has now been altered with a new psu, gsu, and case. I was wondering if windows would run into any errors updating to windows 8.1 from windows 8 considering the original copy of windows 8 was installed by hp on the original, unaltered hp.

It should be fine updating if you run into problems check your drivers

Of course you can run a torrent client on Windows 10. Don't waste another second on 8.1. Move to Windows 10.

Windows updated from 8 to 8.1 without any errors.

I would also like to make a note for anyone who may read this in the future. Please feel free to send me a message or post on this thread with any questions related to factory built computers. I have done a lot of mods to many different computers and can answer questions from hardware and software.

i would like to add that after the update i had to uninstall my gpu driver and reinstall the driver meant for windows 8.1.
