My daughter has been using an Aptiva computer which came
with Windows 95.

Recently all she gets when she switches on the computer
is a screenful of gibberish.

I believe she needs to reinstall Windows 95 but she no
longer has her original Windows 95 disk.

Can someone advise how this can be obtained? The
MIcrosoft site does not seem to answer this question.

Would appreciate any comments. Many thanks!

Windows 95 disks are often available on eBay. If she has the CD, but not the
startup disk, then a utility to create a startup disk can be downloaded at
www.bootdisk.com.

Check whether the installation files have been copied to the hard drive. You
are looking for a folder with a large number of files with a CAB filename
extension.
