Hello,
I have been having this problem for a while now and came up to fix it. I did not have this problem a couple a months ago. I reformatted my system and made a clean new install and yet my system clock was out of sync. I check it with bios and it was wrong there too. So I set it correctly and lo and behold it was out of sync in an hour or so. So I went to my local shop to buy new battery even though my build is barely year old. I replaced a battery and it is still out of sync. Also I tried to mess with services as some forums suggested.
My motherboard is Asus z97-a.
Any help would be heartily appreciated :)

It is most probably cmos issue, it happens a lot on old systems or sometimes in new system mostly due to esd, cmos chip stores information about the system configuration, including the date and time. when it goes bad, the chip starts losing information and one of the symptoms is that your computer no longer maintains its time and date.

I've found below easy steps for you to follow: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000239.htm

Post cmos replacement hope you have reset the CMOS values to default and then syched it ....

Did it still not work for you?

I have replaced my battery promptly I read that I should give it 10-15 minute window. After I replaced my battery I restored it to default values and to no effect.

On the other noted. I just flashed my bios and in fact time was frozen in bios and did not move at all even if I changed it. Flashing bios seems unlocked the clock and it is going fine now.

I will give it a few hours to see if it is actually resolved. I cannot believe I let such simple step to be missed.. I will come back to either choose a solution or seek for more help. Thanks to all replying

Thats good, its what it seemed like to me as well and when I've seen this issue in the past that was usually the fix.
