I'm running:

  • Asus X99a
    Intel i7 5820K
    64GB DDR4 2400MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX
    2 x GTX660ti's
    Samsung 840 evo, 2TB HDD, 1TB HHD
    Corsair Hydro H100i GTX
    Corsair HX1200i

On a fresh install of Win10 Pro (Needed to upgrade from 7 to 10 because of memory limits)

First 4 modules (4x8GB) are being detected by BIOS, Windows and CPU-Z. But the last 4 aren't being detected by Windows or BIOS. However CPU-Z is detecting the full 64GB.

I can't connect to the Internet on my PC at the moment as BT Internet is down for my postcode... so I can't update the BIOS. On revision 1901 at the moment. Is it possible that an outdates BIOS could be the problem? Also, for the same reason, my copy of Windows isn't activated as it can't connect to the Internet.

The last 4 memory slots appear as 'N/A' in the BIOS.

Might well be the BIOS, would try the BIOS update first. Could also try shutting down and resetting the CMOS abnd see if it picks them up, this will reset all BIOS settings to defaults so will have to update date/time and if you had any OC or the like in BIOS. Did all 8 sticks come in a single package of DRAM?

I'll update my BIOS once I have Internet access agan. I'll also reset the CMOS too. I don't have anything OC'd at the moment as I reset to factory settins just in case. And yes, it was one package of 64GB (8x8GB).

BT Have fixed their end, so the Internet is back up now.

I've updated my BIOS version from 1901 to 2001 (Latest). Still no luck. Is it worth resetting the CMOS now that I've updated the BIOS?

I'll try reseating the four DIMM's that aren't being picked up. Reckon it's worth running MemTest86 overnight?

edit: I've registered Windows 10 now, currently downloading Windows updates.

edit2: Here is the BIOS Screen, if that helps in any way.

edit3: Is it not unusual that CPU-Z is detecting 65536MB of RAM and shows each 8GB DIMM in the SPD Panel?

I tried re-adjusting the CPU Cooler, no luck.

However, I tried the left 4 DIMM's one at time, while ALL 4 DIMMs on the right were in. This happened...

LEFT--------------CPU---------RIGHT
[8] [0] [0] [0]------[CPU]------[8] [8] [8] [8] = 8GB
[8] [8] [0] [0]------[CPU]------[8] [8] [8] [8] = 16GB
[8] [8] [8] [0]------[CPU]------[8] [8] [8] [8] = 24GB
[8] [8] [8] [8]------[CPU]------[8] [8] [8] [8] = 32GB

Where 8 is 1 Stick of 8GB and 0 is an empty DIMM.

I can't find that specific setting in the BIOS. There's a tab called 'System Agent Configuration' but there are no voltage settings in it.

There are the options related to it, cannot seem to edit them though. Even when Full Manual Mode is enabled.

edit: Okay I've managed to edit the System Agent Voltage. I also changed the DRAM Voltage (CHA, CHB) & (CHC, CHD) to 1.3V.... still no luck. I also tried 4 DIMMS in the left and none in the right, this left me with 8GB in the BIOS... So it is possible to register RAM in those 4 left slots. So I don't think they're faulty. (FYI: The MB, CPU, RAM are brand new out of box as of yesterday)

edit2: Okay, so after a silly amount config changes, I've managed to get A1/A2/B1/B2 (The 4 LEFT slots) to run and successfully boot with 32GB of RAM. When the 4 RIGHT are also in, it stays at 32GB. So there's no issues with the slots on the MB, I have had a successful 8GB reading in every slot on the board.
