Question Windows booting from a different disk than the one installed

Hi, guys

I have a 240GB SSD that I have my windows installed. My windows, though, is booting from my HD.

I already read here that it's best to create a new partition to have a dual booting (or something similar).

Problem is I'm getting rid of my HD since I'm putting a new SSD in his place, and I don't want to have 3. Just the two SSD.

Is there a easy way to fix this? I don't mind formatting my pc. Already did actually, but from the windows restoration option, which didnt fix it.

But, can I get rid of it?

what are my options when I'm getting rid of the HDD? Formatting from a USB will work? (and having only my ssd on the moment of the instalation)
A full reinstall of the OS (and everything else) will absolutely work.

Physically disconnect the HDD, and reinstall.

For getting rid of the HDD, after you have the OS running on the SSD, diskpart /clean will kill off ALL data on the HDD
