I recently updated to Windows 8 from 7, and now after the computer's been started up for about 2 minutes I get an error message "Windows cannot find "pleasewait.exe". Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again"

I'm not really sure what to do, I've googled and couldn't really find anything that works.

The error doesn't do anything until I press okay. After I press Okay or exit out of it, my toolbar, and the ability to open anything is gone. I can still alt-tab between tabs that were already open. After restarting it there is a blue screen (it doesn't look like a BSOD from win7, that asks me if I want to repair, repairing does not do anything. Any ideas?
