I was using my desktop computer and windows flashed a blue screen then shut down the computer.

The clr cmos button on the back on the computer was illuminated so I began the clr cmos procedures (removing the battery, etc etc)

Eventually I was able to power on the rig however the blue screen would still flash. I got it to the point where it would remain on the blue screen by disabling auto start up and the message said there was an issue preventing windows to boot to prevent causing damage to the computer.

I restarted the computer and got a "bootmgr is missing ctrl alt delete to restart" message.

Upon restarting the computer again I mashed f11 to enter the UEFI setup utility where I found out that my SSD, the one with windows is installed, is not detected.

I've tried swapping the Sata cord from the cd drive to the SSD to see if the cable was faulty and that still didn't work.

Is it possible that a virus fried my SSD?

If not how can I fix this issue

Solution
It could be a port issue, or a BIOS/UEFI problem, or perhaps updating the SSD's firmware could help as well. So you could try resetting or updating the BIOS/UEFI as well.
Hey there.

I'd say that it's not very likely for this to be caused by a virus. All your troubles might have come from the SSD (including the blue screen). Good job on the troubleshooting though.
What you have left to try is perhaps to connect the SSD to a different computer, to confirm that it's dead and if it is - contact the manufacturer's customer support or the vendor you got it from to see if you can RMA it.

Hope that helps.
