Question Windows DCH Driver Required

New build, new Windows 10 OEM installation from a brand new disk.

I go to install Nvidia driver downloaded from Nvidia, and...

Now, this system is not mine. It is being built for someone else.

This is the first I've seen this DCH driver stuff, and from what I understand it's supposed to make things more compatible... how ironic.

Does anyone know why I wouldn't be able to install standard drivers on a brand new Windows 10 Pro 64-bit installation? Why would DCH packages be required and not optional?

I saw that, and it doesn't answer my question or address my problem. No, it is a custom build that I am selling to someone.

I'm not seeing anyone saying they are unable to install standard drivers. Why on Earth would anyone not ever be able to install a standard driver on Windows 10 Pro?

Installed directly from the disk I bought. And yes, it is the new version 1903.

From where did you buy the disk? Is that a Dell or HP OEM disk (or similar)?

No, I bought it from Newegg.

I have a disk I made in May '19. I will use that. My internet is slow and it will take a couple of hours just to download again.

This still doesn't explain what the heck is going on.. I'm basically rolling back to 1803 and just not using 1903 all so I can install standard drivers?? Doesn't make any sense.
