Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter? Help?

Hello,

I recently got a new PC. I have installed Windows 7 on to it, I intend to update to 10 in the near future.

I can not connect to the internet. I have ran troubleshooting and it says...

'Install a driver for your network adapter'

'Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you habe a network adapter, you will need go re-install the driver.'

I have no idea what to do, so I thank anyone who replies in advance.

I want to use wifi, as my iPad is running on the wifi right now. I just can not connect to it and it says I have no network adapter?

Is this a PC you bought or built yourself?
If a bought one, could you link to the specs page?

Well, it says it has a WiFi adapter. You need to install the driver for it.
Did the PC come with a disk with drivers on it?
