I have an AOPEN CDRW5232 which Windows XP Pro is not able
to detect. The drive doesn't need any drivers so the
problem is not device drivers. Win XP sees it as a
standard CD-ROM which plays as usual.

Rt click MyComputer>select Properties>Hardware>Device Manager>DvD/Cdrom
drives. Select yours
and choose Uninstall. Restart and let WinXP reinstall it.
