Question WINDOWS doesn’t boot up after upgrading CPU

Hi, i’ve got a problem with my pc after installing new CPU.
I upgraded my cpu from Ryzen 5 1600 to Ryzen 7 5700X3D. After booting the PC it freezes on the motherboard logo and doesn’t boot up the windows.
I’ve already switched out the graphics card to my old one thinking it might be the problem, but same thing happens. Ive also tried installing a fresh windows from a usb drive but after i boot up the pc via the usb drive my pc crashes few seconds afterwards with a blue screen “ Kernel mode heap corruption” so there’s really nothing i can do.

I updated the BIOS, switched the ram to other ports and turned off the xmp profile in the BIOS, any help?

Did you also reinstall Windows? This is required when changing the motherboard or CPU.

when i try to reinstall windows from a flash drive my pc blue screens like i said in my post above.
Error code is “Kernel mode heap corruption”

That specific error message indicates that memory is most likely corrupted, or you are running mismatched memory. If the individual sticks of RAM did not come from the same bubble pack they are not matched and are not guaranteed to work together. Download and run memtest+ from a bootable USB stick. If there is so much as a single error then the memory requires replacement (at a minumum).

Try resetting cmos back to the defaults and see if it boots. Could be you’ve got some leftover settings from the 1600.
