Windows doesnt pick up my voice but Skype does

As of the title, this is very odd.
My fiends can hear me on Skype normally, however if i go on the "recording devices" panel of windows, it doesnt catch my voice if not really, really low.
That's a problem because when i'm using "Open Broadcaster Software" for Twitch stream, i cant hear my voice , but i can hear my friends' voices on the stream.
What could be the problem?

Skype has its own volume setting level independent of windows. Try adjusting the windows setting and see if that resolves the issue.
