Windows Explorer opens HDD location slowly

So I open my Windows Explorer (Windows 10 BTW), and everything is working normally. Until I try to open my HDD it opens it super slowly. It has created a category for the files in my HDD as "Undefined" and there's this green loading thing on the top of the window. Anybody know how to fix this?

It sounds like your HDD is failing.

Slow access, slow loading, yeah unfortunately thats a normal sign for a failing drive. I would replace it asap before it gets so bad you can't clone it to a new drive, and you lose all your data.

Run crystaldiskinfo and post a picture of teh results.

I agree with the above person. My drive failed under similar conditions, a 2tb WD. Backup your data and replace it before it dies or it gets too slow to backup.

Where it says "Hyvä" it is Finnish and translates to "Good"

Go into advanced power options and disable turning off teh hard drive like in the pic
