Windows failed to resume from hibernate with error status 0xC0000001. As well as Successful boot only every other time.

I recently built my rig and I have had many problems with BSOD mostly relating to Kernel. I need a suggestions/solutions. Thank you for your time and help in advance.


Problem 1: PC Hibernates (All lights go out fans stop spinning). Upon tapping the keyboard all lights turn on and fans spin up. At this point one of following three things happens: 1. No BSOD but windows is non functional (clicking doesn't do anything and I cant access Task Manager) and I have to press reset button. 2. BSOD Error Code 0xC0000001 3. Nothing no image and no response to inputs minus reset button.

Problem 2: PC fails to boot to Windows every other boot. I push the power button system boots up windows logo appears. screen goes blank and sits there. Again no image and no response to inputs minus reset button.

State of Computer: Fresh Install of Windows 8.1 with ASUS AI Suite II and Nvidia Geforce Experience.

Here is what the Bug check came up with for this particular BSOD

Failure from Hibernate usually is is related to a driver problem could be the GPU drivers. Personally I have never got Hibernate to work correctly on my AMD rigs while it does work on my i5 3570k. On my AMD/ATI rig's they just lock up when coming out of Hibernate. On a side note Sleep works just fine.

Make sure you have all of your drivers and Windows Update's up to date. Other than that I can't think of anything else.

Choose CMD Prompt (Admin)
Type powercfg -h off then Enter

SSD review recommends turning it off when you run an SSD anyway!

Thanks I will give that a try might need to look into the rest of article as well. That being said, does anyone have ideas on the second problem? its kind of annoying that I have to reset my PC every other time I boot it up.

Could check out your installation...
First try System File Checker
Winkey plus 'X'
Choose Command Prompt (Admin)
Type sfc /scannow then Enter

It finds and fixes errors in Windows, but doesn't always report them. Run it and see if the fault disappears after re-booting your system
If corrupt files are found that can’t be fixed, try

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (Observe spaces before /)

Re-run SFC

To view CBS Log

findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >sfcdetails.txt

Search C drive for sfcdetails.txt or navigate to C:\Windows\System32 and scroll down.

That solved my hibernate problem, my boot problem has also disappeared; maybe they were somehow related some how? Anyways thanks for the help guys!
