I recently bought a 500gb 850 EVO to put into a laptop. To be clear the drive works as a storage drive and is detected by windows via USB and Sata everytime on both my desktop and laptop without the windows clone. However when i clone windows onto the SSD(using samsung data migration), it is NOT detected by the bios on either my desktop OR laptop and fails to boot. The drive is still view able in windows via USB with the clone still on the drive;.i can open the SSD and see all the copied windows files and my personal files. they can even be opened etc; I can't tell if the drive is defective or if i'm doing something wrong. Any help would be appreciated...a clean install is not an option. Bios updates are not the problem either.
*Also i have used samsungs data migration before, i currently have 3 SSDs in my desktop and none of those gave me issues.

I haven't but i doubt that is the issue. Honestly i think its samsungs software. Is there any other free recommended cloning software?
