Every time I open Chrome, BitTorrent, Steam, etc. I get a message from Windows Firewall saying its blocked some features of the program, and asks me to verify my firewall settings for the application. The "great" part about this, is that it does it every time I reopen the app. I'm about ready to restore my PC. Any suggestions before I nuke it? TIA.

Two things.

Go to windows security centre, or the windows fire wall settings, and if you have not already done so set the security level to medium and not high, then apply the new changes.

Secondly right click on each desktop exe or Icon of the program you are running that windows firewall has a grumble about.

Click on properties.
You should see a checkbox that says run as and admin. tick it.
Then apply the changes.

Run each program to see if the windows firewall message stops bugging the hell out of you Kaleb ok.

Thank you for the reply. I can't seem to find the setting for a security level. I went into the Windows Firewall tab, and opened the advanced settings menu. I added some programs that I commonly found the prompt to add to the firewall come up, thinking this would fix the issue; come to find out that this, in fact, solved nothing. After closing that windows and opening Chrome, I went back into that same menu, and my addition of Chrome.exe had vanished.

On the verge of restoring or reinstallation :/
