Hi

I am using a fresh install of windows 10 64 bit, but have also encountered this problem on Windows 8.1. I have tried reinstalling both versions of Windows twice, to rule out registry issues.

My PC random freezes at varying times when I open up a game, no matter how intensive it is. The PC also freezes, albeit less often, when no game is opened. First, BSODs were being produced, but now it just freezes on the Window and nothing happens.

I do not overclock.

Also, no minidump file is being produced.

My specs:

Windows 10 64bit
GPU: Nvidia 1070 (Up-to-date)
CPU: AMD FX 8350
Motherboard: gigabye 990fxa-ud3
8GB (2x4GB) DDR3/2400mhz Dual Channel Memory (AMD Gamer Series)
600W PSU (Cooler Master B600 B-Series Gaming Power Supply)
2TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64M Cache 7200rpm Hard Drive (Single Hard Drive)

My ambient temperature, albeit higher than normal, has never caused me any issues. It fluctuates around 30-48 ambient.

Would appreciate any suggestions.

Yes depending on hours of load and usage and temps etc. five years can wear a low quality PSU to the point that it all starts to go wrong.

Freezing with no BSODs, while gaming or not, might also indicate a power issue.

I didn't gather that from your post, you had BSODs, where any dumps created back then before freezes with no BSOD? If Yes do you have any of the minidump files? If you do upload them somewhere, google dirve, Dropbox, post a link here and we can take a look.

Nope, that's the issue. Even when I was getting BSODs, they weren't showing up as dumps.
