Hello all, the other day I noticed in device manager for Windows 8.1 that my Nvidia GT740M graphics card had the yellow caution symbol located next to it. Once I went into the details of the warning, this message was presented to me:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
I have already tried uninstalling the device and scanning for hardware changes, as well as trying to use the nvidia driver installer software to reinstall drivers, which said it could not find the device (after uninstalling it from device manager). The device is clearly not functioning as if I try to run games such as counter strike, where I used to get 110fps I now get 20fps as I am now forced to run on the integrated Intel HD 4000 Graphics. I would really appreciate help with this as it's super frustrating not being able to use the laptop for any graphically intensive applications. Thank you for your help as always
Specs:
Lenovo Ideapad Z500
Intel core i5-3350P 3.1 Ghz
