Windows in SSD conected to ad in SATA 3 Express card

Hi,

I have Intel® Workstation Board S5520SC MOBO,
It do not have SATA3 and I would like to add 256 GB (above 512mb/s) SSD to my system and install windows 7 on it.

It has 2 x SATA3 ports and 2 x USB3 (on my mobo there is no USB3 so it would be ideal for me)

My question is:
If this add in card wouldn't be bottle neck between mobo and SSD? I know that in specs it supports up to 600mb/s, but in reality it supports this speed and didn't slowdown my SSD?

Other thing thats bothering me is if windows works on it connected via express card normally? Can I install windows normally?

And last question: what brand SSD do i pick? I want really good SSD (Intel is too expensive for me tho)

Well, I found another option:

PCI express SSD, it has almost 1gb/s speed. That would solve my problem

PCI-e SSD are a pain in the *** to setup and make them work... Not all motherboard will support them and you need a free X16 slot as it needs X4 but i've never seen X4 in a motherboard, only X16 and X1 slots (don't know about workstation board like yours)... so make sure to have one free...

The first options seems the best to me as it'll be easier to setup and be cheaper...
However PCI-e 1X = 500mb/s max so expect more a 350-400mb/s in reality...

Kingston HyperX 3k if you can't afford Intel branded one... Crucial M4 is really reliable but not as fast as you want... However i would pick the M4 and simply put it on a SATA2 port (it'll be very fast comparing to an hdd even on SATA2 speed...)

You cant imagine how hard I worked to instal windows on my workstation. I worked 3 days and had A LOT of trouble to troubleshoot
After than, I do not afraid any problem, I can solve almost everything
In compatibility list that OCZ drive is fully compatible with my MOBO with no issues:

2 PCI Express* 2.0 x16 slot (x16 mechanical)
1 PCI Express 1.0 x4 slot (x8 mechanical shared with optional SAS module)

1 PCI 32/33 5V slot

Does this OCZ needs PCI Express 2.0 x4 ??? As I found– yes, it needs. Now Question is what speed it will run on PCIe 1.0 x4 ? If its works on 1.0?

Don't buy the PCIex1 add-in card for the SSD, it is waste your money. because the bandwidth limiter and you need at least PCIe x4 card for better performance. If you have the SATAII in your MB. You can install the SSD into the SATAII ports. In the real world usage you can't feel the performance difference between SATAII and SATAIII.

OCZ SSD Revo is good one but you need find more info in the OCZ support website about how to install it .

I'm going to buy PCIex 2.0 x4 SSD. Speciffically OCZ SSD Revo Drive 3 PCI-Express 240GB or OCZ SSD Revo Drive 3 X2 240GB PCI-Express. In their page they write that it recommended to use PCIex 2.0 X4. I have spear PCIex 2.0 x16, so I use this PCI, but Im just curious how fast it would work on PCIex 1.0 x4.

I think I will be able to install it, and I know how to use google as well

OCZ RevoDrive 3 X2 series 240GB is same cost in my country, but it has 1.5 GB/S speed, I love to have this speed.
Maybe I should make this clear in the begining:
My worksation specs are:
Quadro6000 6gb videocard,
2 x Xeons 4 cores 2.9 ghz
24 gb or ram.

Ass you see, this is an ordinary PC. This rig is meant for multimedia, video editing, 3D rendering and modeling. I hope to make money with it.

Few people already told me that its hard to install, I'm starting to think that its impossible to install it, I'm not stupid on this thing, I'm reinstalling windows for PC's few years now, and I had to troubleshoot many problems before, I think I can handle little SSD installation If not, for 2 weeks I can return it with no money loss. So I think I will risk on this one. If anyone have tried to install one, please write here steps I need to do (not specific steps, I want to know general idea what I should expect installing it). What its speed will be in reality? Does it reach at least 1GB/s on PCIe 2.0 x16?

I have to make PCIe x16 somehow in bios to PCIe x4 for OCZ RevoDrive 3 X2?
Or i just plug it in x16 and dont change anything?

Damn, for long time i thinked that in my MOBO (Intel S5520SC) there are only 2 x16 gen 2x PCI and other PCI are gen 1x, but i found out that all my PCI are 2x gen, man this make my day happy
